Support and Maintenance of LOKE Crane Guidance Systems

Satisfying our customers is highly important for LOKE Engineering, therefore our support team offers a wide variety of support services. Dependent on the contract agreements and technical possibilities we are able to offer the following:
On Site Support:

Our engineers are available for installation supervision and start up support at the customers field site. Installation supervision contains definition of installation positions for crane equipment (positioning devices) and wireless LAN components.

It is often combined with a field survey of the wireless LAN. Duration of installation supervision period is approximately 1 week.

The system start up contains electrical start up, adjustment of positioning devices and software interface testing and modification. For a typical crane guidance the start up time may be between 3 and 4 weeks, dependend on the number of cranes and details of the software application.
Off Line Support: At begin of commercial operation LOKE offers off line support over a period of 2 to 3 month (depending on contract regulations). Software modification requests are implemented at LOKE in Germany and the modified software is sent via e-mail to the customers field site. The customers engineers can install and test new software versions.

On Line Support:

A direct and more convenient way is to use LOKE's on line support: The system function can be monitored via telephone line and modem, software installation, configuration and test is directly possible from LOKEs headquarter in Walldorf. All the customer has to provide is a simple telephone line that is connected to the Remote Access Server in the LCG monitoring PC. LOKE engineers can dial in into the monitoring PC, they can directly access the crane PCs via thin client software and monitor the crane functions over a distance of many thousend kilometers. Because a direct point to point connection via telephone line is used, the remote access is safe - unwanted access (hacker) is nearly impossible. Restrictions are the available bandwidth of the telephone line, therefore we propose ISDN as transmission media.
